This journal is published twice a year (June and December) by the Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam (STAI) Al-Kifayah Riau-Indonesia. This journal is intended to be a journal for publishing original articles on the latest issues and trends of the Islamic basic education curriculum, learning, policies, and teacher preparation to advance knowledge of Islamic basic education theory and practice. All manuscripts submitted will initially be reviewed by an editor and then evaluated by a minimum of two reviewers through a double-blind review process. <p>One of the four companions of the Prophet Muhammad SAW who was included in the khulafaurrasyidin was Umar bin Khattab. Umar bin Khattab was the second caliph after Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq. He was appointed by Muslims based on the recommendation of Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq when he felt that his age would not last long. The decision to appoint Umar bin Khattab is expected to be able to minimize the polemics that occur among Muslims. Because during the time of the caliph Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq there were many problems including: people did not pay zakat, apostates and false prophets emerged. During the reign of Umar bin Khattab, many areas were conquered in the Arabian Peninsula and outside the Arabian Peninsula. The conquest of Islam to various areas outside the Arabian Peninsula at that time gave rise to various changes that needed to be made in determining policies. <p>This study aims to analyze the factors that influence parental involvement in children's education, using Epstein's parental involvement theory and other supporting theories. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The subjects of the study were parents of students in various socio-economic and cultural contexts, while the objects of the study included social, economic, cultural factors, role perceptions, educational policies, and community support. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation studies, then analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The results of the study indicate that parental involvement is influenced by social networks, economic status, cultural values, gender norms, access to technology, and educational policies. Families with strong social and economic access tend to be more involved, while families with limitations face various barriers. School and community support, as well as positive perceptions of the role of parents, have also been shown to increase involvement. This study emphasizes the importance of a holistic approach involving various stakeholders to create a supportive educational environment</p>Mardhiah Mardhiah

<p>Sufism plays an essential role in shaping the spiritual character of Muslim communities, especially in the face of modernization and globalization, which tend to erode Islamic values. Kampung Agas, located in Tanjung Uma, Lubuk Baja, Batam City, is one of the areas that maintains the practice of Sufism in daily life. However, the community's understanding of Sufism varies, with many associating it only with dhikr and wirid practices without comprehending its essence in self-purification and moral development. This study employs a qualitative approach using field studies and in-depth interviews with religious leaders, community members, and taklim assembly administrators in Kampung Agas. Participatory observation was also conducted to understand the practical application of Sufism in daily life. The findings indicate that Sufism contributes to shaping the community's spiritual character by enhancing religious awareness, controlling desires, and strengthening social values such as honesty, patience, and compassion. However, challenges remain in spreading a broader understanding of Sufism, particularly among the younger generation, who are more influenced by materialism and individualism. In conclusion, Sufism has a positive impact on the spiritual development of the Kampung Agas community. However, innovative approaches in religious outreach are needed to make it more relevant to contemporary developments, such as utilizing digital media and incorporating Sufi-based education in schools</p>Sukri Sukri

<p>One aspect that is very important to produce superior students is the financial aspect. The financial management of an educational institution/school is very important in implementing the activities of an educational institution/school. There are various sources of funds managed by schools, both from the government in the form of BOS funds and from funds from the community in the form of tuition fees. The purpose of this study was to analyze the existing forms of financial management at MTs Muhammadiyah 02. The method used in this study was qualitative through literature and field studies. The stages of the research were carried out by collecting library sources, both primary and secondary. Phase two, this research was also carried out through field studies. Initially, the research design and field testing tools were prepared. The next stage was carried out at the research location, respondents and informants. In conducting field research, observations, documentation and interviews were carried out. The education financial management system can be seen by the implementation of financial management functions in financial management in this Madrasah which starts with planning, implementing, supervising and accountability of Madrasah finances which are going well in accordance with the principles of education financial management. Fund management that has been carried out in this Madrasah is (1) planning which includes: preparation of RKAM and RAB BOS, (2) implementation which includes: channeling and allocating funds, using BOS funds, spending funds in Madrasahs, bookkeeping and taxation related to fund management, (3) Monitoring and evaluation which includes: implementation of supervision by internal and external parties and evaluation by Madrasah heads and Madrasah committees, (4) Reporting which includes: reporting of the use of funds and publication of the use of funds</p>Suparman Suparman

<p>This study aims to analyze the implementation of Arabic language learning methods based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) through literature studies to identify their effectiveness, challenges, and development strategies. Using a library research method with a qualitative approach, this study uses academic documents (journals, books, proceedings) in 2019-2024 as the subject, while the object is the HOTS concept and its application in Arabic language learning. Data collection techniques are carried out through systematic searches in academic databases with related keywords, then analyzed using content analysis through theme coding, pattern identification, and synthesis of findings. The results of the study indicate that the HOTS approach is effective in improving analytical, evaluation, and creative skills in Arabic language learning, especially through problem-based learning methods, flipped classrooms, and technology integration, despite facing obstacles such as limited teacher training and teaching materials. <p>Islamic Religious Education (PAI) has an important role in shaping the spiritual and moral character of students, including those with special needs, such as the blind. The value of totality encourages students to give full dedication in carrying out worship and daily activities despite facing physical limitations. Meanwhile, the value of low self-esteem teaches awareness of the greatness of Allah and encourages an attitude of not being arrogant and empathetic towards others. Thus, PAI not only builds spiritual intelligence, but also forms a noble character that is adaptive to various life challenges. The research method used in this study is a Literature Review and case study. The literature review aims to provide a theoretical basis and clarify the position of the research in a broader scientific context. A case study is a learning or research method that uses real or hypothetical cases to analyze, understand, or provide solutions to a problem. The results found that Islamic Religious Education teachers in handling AN case-studies are: Recognizing feelings of inferiority and understanding their origins are important initial steps for AN. Focus on AN's strengths and achievements rather than AN's weaknesses. Focus on things that have been achieved and your strengths. Achieve simple things to build self-confidence. Maintain physical, mental, and emotional health. Whether it is in classroom learning, or learning outside the classroom which is a behavioral reinforcement program (moral education).</p>Abdul Kodir

<p>This study aims to determine the relationship between formula milk feeding and the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers at Tarempa Health Center, Anambas Islands Regency. The research used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. The subjects were mothers with toddlers aged 0–24 months, while the object was the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers. Data were collected through structured interviews using validated and reliable questionnaires. Data analysis techniques included univariate and bivariate analyses with the Chi-Square test. The results showed that out of 33 respondents, 73% of toddlers were given formula milk, and 64% experienced diarrhea. Bivariate analysis indicated a significant relationship between formula milk feeding and the incidence of diarrhea (p = 0.005). Toddlers who consumed formula milk had a higher risk of developing diarrhea compared to those who were not given formula. This study highlights the importance of educating mothers about exclusive breastfeeding and safe formula milk practices to prevent diarrhea in toddlers</p>Hana Pera
