Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using colored ball media as an innovative learning method to improve the concentration of children aged 4-6 years at PAUD KB Cahaya Hati. The background of this research is the low learning concentration among children, as indicated by their lack of attention, focus, and persistence during learning activities. Colored balls were chosen as the media due to their appealing shapes, colors, and play-based characteristics that are attractive to children, thus expected to stimulate their interest and focus during the learning process. This study employed a classroom action research approach using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles with 11 children as the subjects. Data were collected through observation and documentation, and analyzed using a descriptive quantitative approach. The findings indicate that the colored ball media significantly contributed to improving learning concentration among children aged 4-6 years. In the pre-cycle, the percentage of children showing learning concentration was 47%, which increased to 61.64% in the first cycle and reached 79% in the second cycle. Children appeared more focused, active, and interested when participating in learning activities using the colored ball media. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that colored ball media is an effective learning tool for enhancing learning concentration among early childhood students in PAUD settings. It can be used as a fun and innovative learning medium that successfully enhances concentration in young children. Early childhood teachers are encouraged to utilize concrete and engaging learning media to create an optimal learning atmosphere for children
