This study aims to improve students’ learning motivation and learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) through the implementation of the mind mapping method. This research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in two cycles, consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The participants were 25 eleventh-grade students of SMA Ar Raudhah. Data were collected through observation, achievement tests, and documentation, and analyzed descriptively using learning mastery percentages and changes in students’ motivation. The findings indicate significant improvements in both learning motivation and achievement. In the preliminary stage, only 13 students (52%) achieved the minimum mastery criterion (KKM), while 12 students (48%) had not yet achieved mastery. After Cycle I, learning mastery increased to 72% (18 students), and further improved to 92% (23 students) in Cycle II. Students also demonstrated greater participation in discussions, enthusiasm in constructing mind maps, and confidence in presenting their work. The findings confirm that the mind mapping method effectively enhances students’ motivation and academic achievement in Islamic Religious Education. The implications of this study suggest that mind mapping can serve as an innovative, student-centered instructional strategy to promote active learning, critical thinking, and meaningful knowledge organization. Furthermore, the findings provide practical guidance for teachers in implementing creative learning approaches and serve as a reference for future classroom action research in similar educational contexts
